Tokugawa-san's Stay in Yakumo: 140th Anniversary of His Birth, 50th of His Death

Commemorating Marquis Yoshichika Tokugawa, who fostered Yakumo's development and its carved-bear tradition, this exhibition shows prewar Yakumo bear carvings alongside his photographs and stone fragments he collected from the Pyramids and Pompeii — the Pompeii pieces to be returned to Italy afterwards.
