In a museum, moving from one gallery to the next — beyond a door opened almost by chance, there was an unforgettable painting, an encounter that changed how I see the world.

I wanted to feel that moment again, and to share the same experience with as many people as possible.

MUSEUM DOOR was born from that wish — a guide that gathers exhibition information from museums across Japan. May you find your next "door" here.

Our policy

We publish exhibition information only after obtaining permission from each museum in advance. By listing only the museums that have granted permission, we operate in a way that prevents any unauthorized reproduction.

• Every listing requires each museum's prior permission
• We respect each museum's official information as the primary source
• We do not post subjective reviews or word-of-mouth ratings
• We respond promptly to requests from concerned parties to suspend or correct a listing
