Soup is Life

Soup is born from the simplest act of heating water and ingredients, yet a single bowl holds many layers at once—the power within the ingredients, the shifting of heat, the history of the land, bodily sensation, and the quiet presence of vessels and dining spaces. With designer Natsumi Toyama as director, this exhibition reconsiders the roots of food, clothing, and shelter.
