Permanent Exhibition: Kokutaiji Temple and the History of Akkeshi

Opened in 1967 in front of the nationally designated historic site of Kokutaiji, one of the three official temples of Ezo. The displays centre on the Nikkanki daily records, an Important Cultural Property, together with old documents, archaeological finds and folk material tracing the long history of Akkeshi. Admission free; closed 16 November to 15 April.
