Permanent Exhibition: Chinese Ceramics and Jade

A museum that appears to float on the pond of its Japanese garden. In Saga, the birthplace of Japanese porcelain, it shows the Chinese ceramics from which that tradition descends, in the hope of bridging the two cultures. Holdings include a Qing-dynasty gourd vase carved with insects from a single piece of jade.
