Permanent Exhibition: Izumi Fumoto, the Satsuma Domain's Largest Outer Castle Town

The starting point for exploring Izumi Fumoto, a nationally designated Important Preservation District. A guidance zone sets out the whole townscape through 4K aerial footage, a 1:1000 terrain model and a graphic chronology, while the main gallery covers the workings of the outer castle system and everyday life, with a reconstructed model of the samurai residence quarter and displays of armour, helmets and spears.
