The Nabeshima kiln's official workshop was abolished in 1871, yet the Ichikawa family carried its techniques and pattern books through the Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei and Reiwa eras. This exhibition marks the succession of the fifth-generation Ichikawa Uhei.
