New Collection Exhibition: Thematic Displays for Creative Encounters

Drawn from the 800-plus works of the UESHIMA MUSEUM COLLECTION—contemporary art by a wide range of Japanese and international artists gathered under the theme of "contemporaneity"—this exhibition presents pieces selected along a variety of themes. For this second collection exhibition, the contents have been fully renewed under the curation of Yuko Hasegawa, who served as director of the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa until March 2025 and is active worldwide. A new installation by James Turrell is also unveiled as a permanent display.
