Permanent Exhibition: Basho and Seifu Suzuki

On the poet Matsuo Basho, who stayed in Obanazawa during the journey recorded in The Narrow Road to the Deep North, and Seifu Suzuki, the safflower merchant and poet who received him. The displays cover Seifu's life and cultural activity, his friendship with Basho, and what survives at Yosenji, the temple where Basho lodged.
