Spring Exhibition: Foxes and the Tale of Transformation

Centered on the fox—revered as a sacred messenger of Inari shrines yet also feared as a shape-shifting spirit—this exhibition presents Henge Monogatari, a masterpiece of yokai tales set in Edo-period Tango Province. Three handscrolls and two manuscripts from the collection are shown, including previously unseen scenes.
