Special Exhibition: Paper in Motion — How Paper Connected Asakura Culture

A special exhibition exploring the culture of Ichijodani, seat of the Asakura warlords, through a single material: paper. Waka poetry, letters and classical texts are presented as things that carried ideas between people and places, revealing the literary world the Asakura family cultivated. The run includes talks, a history lecture on the Asakura and the classics, and hands-on sessions such as writing waka on tanzaku strips. Held in the Special Exhibition Room on the second floor.
