Always on view

ScienceArchitecture

Opened at Shin-Kiba, Tokyo in October 2007 — a century after plywood was first made in Japan — as the only museum in the world devoted to collecting and displaying material on timber and plywood. Displays include wood samples, plywood of many kinds, CLT and models of timber buildings, with live demonstrations of the rotary veneer lathe that peels a log into a continuous sheet.
