Permanent Exhibition: The Art and Craft of Shibori

Japan's only museum devoted to shibori tie-dyeing, where the craft has been practised on this site since 1940. Elaborate finished pieces are shown alongside the techniques of the artisans who make them. In recent years the museum has exhibited abroad and signed sister agreements to carry shibori beyond Japan.
