Heisei and Reiwa History Through TV and Commercials 2026

An exhibition tracing 37 years of Japanese life — from 1989 to 2025 — through the television programmes and commercials people actually watched. Panels cover series from Chibi Maruko-chan to Hanzawa Naoki and Tora ni Tsubasa, alongside more than 200 covers of TV Guide arranged in sequence and props used in the drama Brush Up Life. A dedicated commercials section screens ACC award winners from across the era, with posters of the ads that stuck in the national memory. Free admission.
